Introduction

Hello Everyone,
This 4 layer RF PCB is constructed using 60mil RO4350B and 10mil RO4350B, specifically designed for UHF coupler applications. Let’s take a look at the stack-up.



The base materials consist of a 60mil RO4350B core and a 10mil RO4350B core, added with 4mil RO4450F prepreg. Each layer features 35 μm (1oz) copper, resulting in a final thickness of 2.1mm. The pads are plated with immersion gold. This design incorporates back-drilled vias from the 10mil core, which effectively reduces noise interference and enhances signal integrity. By employing back drilling, the complexity of PCB fabrication is minimized, eliminating the need for buried or blind vias.
